Brie De Meaux

Brie De Meaux

from £2.80

I’m a soft and rich French Brie, with a complex buttery, nutty, sweet flavour. I have undertones of truffles and almonds and pair well with Bordeaux wines because the acidity of the wine cuts through my butteriness. An amazingly tasty and delightful cheese for the real cheese-lovers.

Protected by an PDO (Protected Designation of Origin), Brie de Meaux Dongé is one of the finest French Bries. It has a smooth, runny texture and a strong yet creamy flavour. Étienne Dongé set up his dairy in 1930 which is now run by his great grandchildren Luc and Jean-Michel, who still follow the traditional method of hand-ladling the curd. Brie de Meaux has a white rind with pinkish-beige mottling which distinguishes it from many of its copies.
